My Story

I started performing when I was just a wee little thing. I have always been quite dramatic, and over the top, I easily fell in love.  I did classes with Stafire Theatre from grades 2 until 5, and then continued on in school shows all throughout elementary, high school, and eventually post secondary as well.

Despite how many no's I heard, or how hard it seems to get there, I don't give up. When I was first rejected from colleges for musical theatre, I was devastated. I then was given an opportunity by St Lawrence College where they created a streamlined Musical Theatre / General Arts and Studies course to help me enhance my skills to be able to be successful in the program. After that, I was enrolled full time as a Musical Theatre student! Hurray!!

Only my class in college had to face so many hardships. From the college strike back in 2017 where we were unable to attend classes for 5 weeks, to then having our graduating year ripped away from us by COVID-19, we still made the most of it, and grew as people and performers together.

Since college, I've been taking time to heal myself and love who I am. The journey of self love and self discovery is never over, but I have come so far. No longer do I fear the judgement of others, instead I accept and adore myself. I can't wait to see how far I'll go.

Now, I am a confident, bubbly and positive person with a strong love of anime, foxes, and astrology. I previously was Jack Kelly in Newsies with the Youth Actors Association of Niagara (June 2023). During that experience, I truly saw how passionate I am about teaching, and helping to build others up. Being a leader is always an honour, and I'm glad that I could be one in not just YAAN, but at Port Colborne Operatic Society as well. Both groups were very different dynamics with YAAN being composed of primarily children, and PCOS adults, the feeling of pride didn't change between the two groups. Nothing compares to watching someone click with an idea, or get into a sweet spot in their character or song. Knowing that I can help guide people to bring out the best in themselves is so rewarding.
